    Spider-Man is among the most popular characters in the Marvel universe. Even a person who is not into Marvel-related stuff can easily recognize the web-slinger. The legend of the comic book industry, Stan-Lee crafted every aspect of Spider-Man so beautifully that everyone just fell in love with him.

    Spider-Man has the most relatable life and faces challenges similar to the average teenager. He emerged as more of a solo hero rather than someone who gets lost in the mix of a team. With a story this good, he was bound to have multiple solo movies and expectedly, each media of Spider-Man was a big hit.

    1. Tobey Maguire

    Tobey Maguire was the first live-action Spider-Man. He got so much love from the audience for his great performance as Peter Parker. Sony also worked very hard on the script which helped Tobey shine. Tobey Maguire Got 3 solo movies and each of them was just a chef’s kiss.

    ‘Spider-Man’ (2002)

    It was the first Spider-Man movie of the modern era. It earned $825 million at the box office and had a budget of $139 million. Tobey was reportedly paid $4 million for his movie as the Peter Parker.

    ‘Spider-Man 2’ (2004)

    It was the second instalment of the Sam Raimi’s Spiderverse. It had a budget of $200 million and raised $789 million at the box Office. After emerging as the great Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire got a massive bump in his pay and received $17.5 million. He also got 5 per cent of the back-end gross.

    ‘Spider-Man 3’ (2007)

    The final and kind of most “over-booked” installment Spider-Man was the weakest among all three but has a special place in fans’ hearts. It was Tobey Maguire’s last appearance as Spider-Man as the lead in his solo movie and gave the community “Bully Maguire”.

    The pay structure of Tobey for this movie was changed a bit. He received $15 million as the base salary, however, he got 7.5 percent of the back-end gross.

    2. Andrew Garfield

    The next in line to play Peter Parker was the cute face of Andrew Garfield. He had big shoes to fill in as he was replacing Tobie Maguire as the Spider-Man and fans had high expectations from him. He did a great job, however, but didn’t receive his flowers. It was partially because both his solo movies, despite being good, were below the standard set by Tobie’s trilogy.

    ‘The Amazing Spider-man’ (2012)

    It is the first movie of the Spider-Man reboot and was scrutinized heavily by the fans. The movie was quite good and managed to earn $758 million. Andrew Garfield was given only a $500,000 base salary for his first appearance as Peter Parker.

    ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ (2014)

    This movie had the same issue that the 2007’s ‘Spider-Man 3’ had. It featured so many plots and different villains and the script failed to finish them. Andrew received $1 million for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ and $2 million for the next installment which sadly didn’t happen.

    3. Tom Holland

    After Sony and Marvel Studios struck a deal to share the Spider-Man’s right, Tom Holland became the Peter Parker for the MCU reboot. He debuted with ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and fans were left in awe after seeing Spider-Man finally coming into the MCU. Tom Holland also led 3 solo movies in MCU.

    ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ (2017)

    It is the first MCU Spider-Man movie and made $880.2 million. Tom had a base salary of $500,000 and also received a bonus of $1 million due to its huge collection.

    Spider-Man: Far From Home’ (2019)

    It takes place after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and was truly Tom Holland’s solo movie as this one didn’t have any other superhero from the MCU. He received $4 million for playing Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Far From Home’.

    Spider-Man: No Way Home‘ (2021)

    This movie has so much emotion attached to it and was considered the best Spider-Man movie of all time. Not only did it bring back Tobie Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, but the action sequences were also great. Due to this, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ managed to collect a whopping $1 billion at the box office. Tom Holland made $10 million from this movie.

    Fans can clearly see Tobie Maguire got the biggest bag for his work as Spider-Man and that too excluding his salary for ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
