If you didn’t already know ‘John Wick‘ has a prequel TV series coming up titled, ‘The Continental‘, it will give fans the much-awaited glimpses into the inner workings of the exclusive Continental Hotel, which has served as a centerpiece in the John Wick Universe. ‘The Continental’: Plot And Cast
The series will be set in the 1970s in New York, specifically during a time when the city was overflowing with trash. According to Lionsgate’s TV Chairman Kevin Beggs, the prequel will majorly follow the life of Winston Scott. It was reported, “What we’re exploring in The Continental is the young Winston and how it came to be that he and his team of confederates found their way into this hotel, which we have met for the first time in the movie franchise 40 years later.”
Colin Woodell will be playing the role of Winston Scott. He’ll track a deadly course through the mysterious underworld of New York City. Along with Winston will be Cormac, played by Mel Gibson.

When Will ‘John Wick’ Prequel Release And Where Can You Watch It?
‘The Continental‘ was announced in 2017. Earlier, it was speculated that the prequel TV series would be released in 2022, however, now the scheduled release is set for next year – 2023. Since ‘John Wick 4‘ will be released in March 2023, therefore it can be assured that the series can be watched only after March.
‘The Continental‘ will launch internationally on Amazon Prime Video in all countries, excluding the USA, the Middle East and Israel. Chris Mansolillo, Director, Content Acquisition, Prime Video stated, “The John Wick films have created one of the most immersive, detailed and enjoyable universes we’ve seen on screen in the last decade.”
