People and critics love Netflix’s flagship sci-fi horror series ‘Stanger Things.’ The show has had four successful seasons. However, David Harbour believes that it’s the right time for the series to end.

In an interview with Dressing Films, Harbour, who portrays Jim Hopper said: “What’s funny is when I started the show, I never, ever wanted it to end.” He said that its a “great show” even if he was not in it.

Now we’re almost nine years from filming the first season, and I think it is time for it to end“, Harbour added. “But it is, of course, very bittersweet. You know, there’s a sadness there. But also, we’ve all grown up.”

In the same interview, Harbour said that it’s time for them and Duffer brothers, the show’s creator, “leave that nest and try other things and different projects.” His stardom has increased ten folds ever since Harbour was cast in the series.

The fifth season will release sometime in 2024 and will have lesser characters and episodes than the fourth season. Last year, Matt Duffer revealed that very few people know how the show ends.

He said that the studio executives got emotional and cried while hearing the pitch of the fifth season. Matt said it “was a good sign that these executives were crying.”
