Venus Williams has offered fans a rare glimpse into her personal life, sharing never-before-seen engagement photos with her husband, Andrea Preti, months after their 2025 wedding celebrations.
The 45-year-old tennis legend took to Instagram on April 4, posting a series of intimate images featuring the couple posing on a beach and near a villa. In the caption, Williams reflected on how their celebrations have extended far beyond their wedding year.
“We celebrated our wedding all year long last year and even though we are married now we never stopped celebrating, it’s kind of a non negotiable for us,” she wrote.
She added that she continues to embrace the joy of newlywed life. “I loved being a bride. Andrea says I still get to be the bride every day. My mom says I need to stop! 😅 anyway these are our engagement photos, taken on the same day today last year, our first time ever sharing them.”
Williams followed up with another post on April 5, giving fans a look at their engagement dinner, originally held on April 4, 2025. The couple tied the knot in two ceremonies in 2025. Their first wedding took place in Italy in September, followed by a second celebration in Florida in December, honoring Williams’ deep ties to the state.
In a previous interview with Vogue, Williams explained that the second ceremony was necessary due to legal timelines for foreign nationals. She also described the Florida celebration as an extended, multi-day affair attended by close family and friends.
The festivities included time on a yacht arranged by her sister Serena Williams, along with a bridal shower and a dinner at a Miami club. The couple later formalized their marriage in a courthouse ceremony on December 19.

Leylah Fernandez Recalls Venus Williams’ Advice After Miami Open Loss

Leylah Fernandez recently revealed that some wise words from Venus Williams helped her recover from a difficult loss at the Miami Open 2026. Fernandez partnered with Williams in doubles at the tournament, where they lost in the opening round to Asia Muhammad and Erin Routliffe.
The pair won the first set 6-3 before losing the second 3-6 and falling 11-13 in the deciding tiebreak after missing match points. Speaking after her opening win at the Charleston Open, Fernandez described her reaction to the defeat.
She said, “I mean, in the last tiebreak, the third set tiebreaker, we were up and we lost it, and I remember I had like a couple of easy shots, easy volleys, and I missed, and I was really heartbroken at the end of the match because I was like really wanted to end the day with a win.”
Moreover, she added that Williams offered encouragement after the match that stayed with her moving forward.
“And she told me, you know, like I played great, just to keep going, keep forward. If we all had a time machine, we would use it, but we don’t, so just keep moving forward. So with that quote, that definitely helped me to kind of recharge and look at the bright side and just keep working the next day and find ways to improve,” she said.
