Courtney Love Was Fired From ‘Fight Club’ Because Of Brad Pitt
Love is a popular singer, guitarist, songwriter, and actress. She has been a part of several films. One of them could have been the cult classic ‘Fight Club‘ if it didn’t involve Brad Pitt.
In an episode of ‘WTF With Marc Maron’, the singer said that she was officially cast to play the role of Marla which ultimately went to Helena Bonham Carter. The reason behind it is shocking.
Love claimed that she was fired from the film because she “went nuclear” on Pitt and director Gus Van Sant when they approached for a film on her late husband and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
“I wouldn’t let Brad play Kurt,” she said, noting that she shut that project down. “I don’t know if I trust you and I don’t know that your movies are for profit. They’re really good social justice movies, but… ,” Love told Pitt. “If you don’t get me, you kind of don’t get Kurt, and I don’t feel like you do, Brad.”

Another Film On Kurt Cobain Was Made
Kurt Cobain passed away at the age of 27 on April 5, 1994, due to a self-inflicted shotgun wound to his head. He and Love got married in 1992 and Love has remained single since his death.
In 2005, Van Sant made a film titled ‘Last Days‘ on the life of Cobain. Love maintains that this wasn’t the film they had discussed. She said that she will make a film about him someday.
“My friend Cameron Crowe [told me] Brad Pitt was put on this earth to stalk you for Kurt, which has been going on since ’96,” she said.
