Jennifer Gates on Friday announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Nayel Nassar. Bill Gates’ eldest daughter with his ex-wife Melinda French Gates married Nassar a year ago in October. Jennifer took to Instagram to share the happy news. The couple posed on a ranch and Jennifer showed off her baby bump. In the caption, the expecting mother wrote, “Thankful.” Many celebrities along with Jennifer’s mother congratulated her on the news. Melinda, Bill Gates’ former wife broke off their marriage after 27 years. Congratulating her daughter, she wrote, “I couldn’t be more excited to meet this little one and watch you two become parents.”
Nayel is an Egyptian-American equestrian. Jennifer and he had been dating each other for five years before getting married. Nassar is a seasoned player who has been riding horses since his childhood. Who Is Nayel Nassar?
Nayel Nassar was born on 21 January 1991 in Chicago to Fouad Nassar and Iman Harby. Though a US-born, Nassar was brought up in Kuwait. In Kuwait, Nassar’s parents owned an architectural firm Diwan Interiors International, and Nassar had a wealthy upbringing. It wasn’t until 2009 that they moved back to the United States. Nassar is an accomplished equestrian who started riding at the young age of five. By the age of 10, he was already jumping over hurdles. As Nassar’s parents were Egyptians he could represent the country in Championships.
He is the first rider to win both the Longines Speed Challenge and the Longines Grand Prix at the same event with the same horse. By qualifying for the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) he appeared in Jumping World Cup Finals in 2013, 2014, and 2017. He backed the World Cup in 2019 at Wellington, when he completed the race in 38.15 seconds. The equestrian has participated in numerous Horse Shows and Global Championship Tours. In the 2020 Olympics, Nassar ranked fourth position winning no medals. Nayel ranks 44 in the world, with 48 jumping competition wins under his belt since 2010.

How Did Jennifer Gates And Nayel Meet?
Nayel is a graduate of Stanford like his wife Jennifer. He holds a degree in Economics from the prestigious institution. Jennifer and Nayel started dating in 2017 before they posted on Instagram about their Valentine’s Day dinner. In January 2018, they celebrated their anniversary with another post for which Jennifer wrote, “Nobody rly knows whether our official -dating anniversary- is today or yesterday but that’s ok… happy to be yours every day.”
Nassar returned to Stanford to cheer on his girlfriend’s graduation. “Lucky me, she’s beautiful and has a Stanford degree! ?? Congratulations love, on all you’ve achieved these last 4 years. According to Jennifer’s talk with CNN, the couple bonded over horses. “He’s a professional, and I do this as an amateur. So, to be able to share our love and passion for horses with each other is just incredible,” said Bill Gates’ eldest daughter. After dating for more than four years the couple got engaged in January 2020. Nassar announced their engagement on Instagram writing excitedly, “SHE SAID YES!!” The newlyweds shared pictures of their wedding on Instagram.
Nassar is the owner of Nassar Stables which he set up in Southern California in 2015. The professional equestrian co-created the app JUMPR. He developed the app with Amazon employee Minhee Lee for tracking show-jumping statistics.
