    Keanu Reeves is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood right now. The 58-year-old Canadian actor has appeared in various critical and commercial successes like ‘Point Break’, Speed’, ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ and ‘The Matrix.’ After experiencing a setback, he made a successful comeback with ‘John Wick.’

    A recent update on the actor is that he has left a series that would have been his first major American television role. It’s Hulu’s ‘The Devil in the White City‘, which is executive produced by names like Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio. Let’s find out why he left it.

    Keanu Reeves Exits ‘Devil in the White City’ Series

    Reeves has made sporadic appearances in television series, however, he is yet to do big-budget American television production. Turns out, that wait won’t end anytime soon.

    According to Variety, The ‘Speed‘ actor has will not be starring in Hulu’s adaptation of ‘The Devil in the White City‘. Based on the namesake book, the show was first put into development in 2019.

    Reeves was cast in the role of Burnham and the makers are now looking for a replacement. Names like Martin Scorsese, Rick Yorn, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, Stacey Sher, Sam Shaw, and Mark Lafferty serve as executive producers on the series. The reason for Reeves’s departure is unknown right now.

    According to the logline, the show “tells the true story of Daniel H. Burnham, a demanding but visionary architect who races to make his mark on history with the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, and Dr. H. H. Holmes, America’s first modern serial killer and the man behind the notorious ‘Murder Castle’ built in the Fair’s shadow.”

    Reeves Will Return To ‘Constantine’ Sequel

    Last month, DC announced a sequel to Reeves’ 2005 supernatural thriller film ‘Constantine.’ Fans had been requesting a sequel to this Francis Lawrence-directed feature.

    It was announced that the sequel will be released soon and it will be written by Akiva Goldsman. J.J. Abrams, under his banner Bad Robot, will be producing it along with Goldman’s Weed Road Pictures.

    17 years after the original hit the big screen, Keanu Reeves will be reprising the role of John Constantine for the sequel. The first film was released on February 18, 2005.
