It aimed to subvert expectations and add depth to the character. Schaeffer explained, “We wanted to make her our own, and we were already playing in this pool of witches. What does it mean to be a witch? Thinking about ritual creation, the divine feminine of the witchcraft space, and so thinking of Lady Death as not just being about death,” she explained.
Moreover, as for the future of the MCU’s supernatural realm, Schaeffer remained tight-lipped. While Lilia’s final warning to Agatha about Rio hints at potential future storylines, the showrunner was coy about revealing any specific details. “Please see future episodes!” Jac stated.
So, fans will have to wait and see how the series concludes and what surprises it may have in store.
