‘Agatha All Along’ Showrunner Jac Schaeffer Talks About The Potential Storyline Of Season 2

Agatha All Along’ concluded with a series of unexpected twists, leaving fans to ponder the future of its enigmatic characters. The show’s finale revealed a shocking truth: Billy Maximoff, with his newfound powers, inadvertently created the Witches’ Road

His desire to connect with his brother Tommy led to a series of events that culminated in the deaths of several witches, including Agatha Harkness herself. However, Agatha’s story is far from over and the show ended on a cliffhanger. So, a season 2 is very much possible.

While ‘Agatha All Along’ has concluded its first season, fans are already eager to know what lies ahead for the character. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer, while talking to TheWrap, hinted at the possibility of a second season, teasing the exciting dynamic between Billy Maximoff and Ghost Agatha.

It’s hard to speak about because I have a lot of awareness of what the handoffs are between different properties,” Schaeffer admitted, suggesting that the future of the series is closely tied to the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

However, she couldn’t resist expressing her own excitement for the potential of this duo: “I, as a fan, am so excited about this duo of Billy Maximoff and his spirit guide, Ghost Agatha. And I think that there’s a lot of opportunity there.” With Agatha now a ghost, the possibilities for future storylines are endless.

The finale of ‘Agatha All Along’ revealed Billy Maximoff as the true creator of the Witches’ Road. His subconscious desires and grief for his brother Tommy manifested in this twisted reality. In a way, it was just like how Wanda, his mother, created the Hex in ‘Wandavision.’
