Peter Quill isn’t done saving the galaxy just yet. Chris Pratt has officially confirmed that Star-Lord will return to the MCU, reassuring fans who have been waiting to see what happens to the character after the events of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’.
Chris Pratt Has Already Pitched Marvel His Star-Lord Comeback Idea

Speaking on The Playlist’s Bingeworthy podcast, Pratt revealed that discussions with Marvel Studios have progressed beyond simply talking about bringing his character back. The actor confirmed that concrete steps have already been taken to make the return happen.

However, he remains tight-lipped about when audiences can expect to see Star-Lord again. “I have a great relationship with Kevin Feige and Lou D’Esposito, and there have been both ongoing conversations about how we make good on that promise and also hard action taken to make sure that we make good on that promise,” Pratt explained.
He then offered an even more reassuring update for Marvel fans. “So yeah, you’ll see Star-Lord again, which is very exciting, but I’m not at liberty to say when that’s going to be, but he’s not going anywhere.” What’s particularly interesting is that Pratt isn’t simply waiting for Marvel to hand him another appearance.
The actor previously revealed that he had pitched Kevin Feige his own idea for Star-Lord’s future, suggesting he has a clear vision for where Peter Quill’s story could go next. “I personally have a really strong vision of what I would want him to do. And I think it’s fucking great.” He also confirmed that he had already presented the idea to Feige.
Where Could Star-Lord Return In The MCU?

Star-Lord’s last major appearance came in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, which ended with Peter returning to Earth to reconnect with his grandfather. The film’s credits also explicitly promised that “The Legendary Star-Lord will return,” making Pratt’s latest comments a welcome confirmation that Marvel intends to honor that tease.
