Remember the weeks leading up to ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’? The internet was ablaze with rumors, speculation, and fervent denials from the cast. One of the film’s biggest surprises was the meeting of the three Spidermen.
However, Andrew Garfield made sure to keep it a secret whether it was by denying questions or straight up until the very end. Well, it seems Garfield’s experience with superhero secrecy might have rubbed off on someone else namely his former co-star, Dafne Keen.
Dafne Keen On Channeling Her Inner Andrew Garfield
Keen, who stole hearts (and sliced throats) as Laura Kinney/X-23 in 2017’s ‘Logan,’ recently revealed a surprising tidbit about the upcoming ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ movie. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly while promoting her new project, ‘The Acolyte,’ Keen was asked about her experience with keeping a secret with ‘Logan’ then and ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ now.
She talked about enjoying every moment of lying in press conferences and to the media about her role in the films and claimed that Andrew Garfield was her inspiration. “I got asked in every interview, and I just got to lie, which was really funny. All the inspo comes from Andrew Garfield. He is the master at this,” she stated.
Moreover, her appearance in the upcoming film was confirmed after Marvel released its latest teaser for the film. Additionally, the prospect of X-23 reuniting with Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine is enough to send chills down any comic book fan’s spine.

Keen Talked About Feeling Intimidated To Return To Her Role As Laura In ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’
Returning to Laura wasn’t all sunshine and claws for Dafne Keen. While news of her potential return as X-23 in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ sent fans into a frenzy, Keen herself grappled with a mix of excitement and fear. She talked about dropping her phone in the bath out of excitement after bagging the role in the upcoming film.
However, despite her initial excitement, nerves settled in. Eight years had passed since her breakout role in ‘Logan,‘ and Keen worried she might have lost touch with the character. “I will have forgotten how to play her. She’s not in me anymore,” she confessed in the same interview.
Keen claimed that she rewatched ‘Logan’ to reignite her connection to Laura. However, her doubts disappeared after the filming began. “It was like eight years hadn’t passed,” she claimed. The familiar intensity of the role clicked back into place.
