‘Secret Invasion‘ started with a discontented beginning and just kept disappointing the fans. First off, episode one ‘Resurrection’, dropped a shocker bomb by killing off Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill. The abrupt and unexpected premature departure of MCU’s greatest espionage agent broke many hearts as Hill deserved a better send-off than being shot by Gravik impersonating as Nick Fury.
Episode three of the series dropped yet another shocker. Betrayed, killed off yet another crucial character G’iah. MCU robbed yet another foundational female hero just in three episodes. Since the plotline is about shape-shifting Skrulls, it is hard to believe that G’iah is dead at the end of ‘Secret Invasion‘ episode three.

Who Is G’iah In ‘Secret Invasion’?
Making her MCU debut Emilia Clarke portrays the role of G’iah, Talos’ long-lost daughter. She is seen to be allied with Gravik, the Skrull leader who is hellbent on infiltrating mankind and causing the extinction of the human race, as well as turning himself into a Super-Skrull. During the first episode, we see G’iah and Talos in a heart-to-heart conversation amidst the chaos, revealing her mother’s last words. It is during this heartfelt moment G’iah decides to shift sides, helping her father destroy Gravik’s master plan.
However, she does not starve for power and destruction and is seen as skeptical about Gravik’s plan for the bloodshed in episode three. She becomes a covert helper to Talos as his operators try to shoot down a United Nations plane, which would kickstart World War III.

Does G’iah Die?
In the third episode ‘Betrayal’, we see that G’iah has now become an undercover agent siding with Talos. The episode opens with Gravik getting his plan in action for human extinction by impersonating members of his team as various British navy officers to bomb an American submarine and start a war among the humans. Talos‘ daughter, G’iah, has superseded herself as one of Gravik’s most trusted allies. In a turn of events, she’s become a mole, providing information back to her father. When G’iah learns of the impending bombing, she sneaks around the Skrull camp to find a secret code that will retract the bomb order.
She gives Talos the order as he disguises himself as the naval officer to give the code and prepares to make a getaway on her motorbike. Just then Gravik appears and accuses her of being the mole. He tells G’iah to turn around, but she refuses saying “Are you a leader of Skrulls or our worst enemy?” but she’s abruptly shot and killed. We see her return to her Skrull form with a bullet wound in her chest. But unlike Maria Hill’s death, not much of G’iah’s wounded body was shown, leaving the fans to wonder if G’iah switched places beforehand.
