Here’s Why The Symbiote God Knull Can Become The Greatest Villain In MCU History

The symbiote saga is a beloved segment of the MCU, with fans now excited about its next chapter. The ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ trailer confirming Knull’s debut was monumental news for the Sony Spider-Man Universe (SSU).

Previously, rumors suggested that the villains used in the SSU were off-limits to the MCU. However, it might not be the case after all. Moreover, It raises an intriguing question: does the symbiote god belong in Sony’s corner of Marvel, or is the MCU a better fit? Nevertheless, Knull remains one of the most powerful villains of Marvel, and would most likely dominate the screens as an antagonist. Here’s what the comic books say about him.

It Took A Major Team Up Of The Mightiest Heroes To Beat Knull

In Marvel Comics’ King in Black event, it wasn’t just Eddie Brock who stood up to the dark god. It took a team-up of the Avengers, the SSU, X-Men, and even cosmic entities like the Silver Surfer to beat Knull. So, Tom Hardy’s Venom, while loved by fans, is simply not powerful enough to take on the symbiote god by himself.

If ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ has Eddie Brock single-handedly defeating a god who once slayed Celestials, it will diminish Knull’s threat. Moreover, bringing Knull into the MCU would allow for a proper assembly of forces. It could be Avengers: Endgame’ all over again. It’s safe to say that he is a villain worthy of an all-hands-on-deck scenario.

While Christian Bale’s Gorr may have met his end in the film, the seeds of Knull’s story have already been planted.

He isn’t motivated by philosophical ideals, he simply wants to return the universe to the void that existed before creation itself.
