How ‘VisionQuest’ Could Complete Wanda’s Tragic MCU Story Through Vision And Her Sons

‘VisionQuest’ might be laying the groundwork for an emotional ending to the Maximoff family saga, particularly for Wanda Maximoff. The series will see White Vision trying to remember his past and find himself, but with the addition of Billy and Tommy Maximoff and Ultron’s return, it could be a story of much more than just artificial intelligence.

And what if Vision, Billy, and Tommy can somehow merge their powers, memories, and love to resurrect Wanda? It may seem like a far-fetched idea, but it would be a perfect ending to a narrative that always wondered about the meaning of reality and the nature of a family.

The Family Wanda Created Could Be the One to Bring Her Back

Wanda unknowingly created Vision and their twin sons Billy and Tommy in the Hex during ‘WandaVision’. They were a product of her great powers and great grief, but their love for each other was undeniable. Eventually, when it had to be let go, Wanda lost the family she had created along with the Hex, making it one of the saddest moments of the MCU.

But Billy and Tommy have since re-entered the story in different ways. Billy’s adventures in ‘Agatha All Along’ showed that the twins’ lives could go on even after the Hex, and that Tommy would return, reuniting the brothers. Meanwhile, White Vision continues his quest to find the memories that once made him Wanda’s Vision.

If he can get back in touch with Billy and Tommy, the three may find their past is stronger than they think. Maybe their teamwork will be able to save Wanda, just as it did in ‘WandaVision’. This time it would be the family she had made that would fight for her return.

The theory also connects nicely with the Ship of Theseus question explored in ‘WandaVision’: if every part of something is replaced, does it remain the same thing? White Vision has a different body, but retains the memories of the original Vision. Billy and Tommy are in new lives, but their bond with Wanda is still important to them.

Wanda herself could face a similar question if she were recreated through her family’s memories and powers. Would that really be Wanda or merely someone who remembers being her? That’s what makes this ending so strong.

Marvel wouldn’t be reviving another character; it would be asking if love and shared memories can keep someone alive after death. Wanda created her family out of grief and love. That family recreating her would be a tragic and hopeful full circle.
