Marvel fans could be in for one of the darkest Avengers movies yet, if a new set of unverified ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ leaks is true. The rumored plot details outline 12 character deaths, ranging from the destruction of entire universes to heartbreaking sacrifices involving some of the MCU’s most beloved heroes.
Among the names reportedly facing death are Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Loki, Thor, and Bucky Barnes. If even some of these alleged events prove accurate, Doctor Doom could become one of the MCU’s most terrifying villains yet.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Could Kill Major Marvel Heroes
According to the circulating rumors, the deaths begin with the destruction of Earth-96238, reportedly killing Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and leaving Wolverine stranded after Magneto and Deadpool escape. Loki allegedly meets an even more brutal fate when Doom rips out his heart at the end of time.

The supposed casualties continue with Peggy Carter, Mystique, Nightcrawler, James Rogers, and Charles Xavier. One particularly disturbing claim involves James Rogers, who is allegedly killed by Doom in front of his father, Steve Rogers.
The emotional stakes reportedly rise further when Bucky Barnes sacrifices himself to save Steve from Doom. Shuri is also said to defeat one of Doom’s followers before eventually succumbing to her injuries. If these events happen as described, the film could deliver devastating moments for longtime MCU fans.
Thor And Sentry Could Meet Devastating Ends
Two of the most significant rumored deaths involve Thor and Sentry, characters whose extraordinary powers could make them formidable opponents for Doom. Sentry flies into space to slow an incoming Earth, buying the other heroes precious time as the worlds begin colliding. However, he reportedly crashes during the catastrophe.

Thor’s fate is even more brutal. Doom supposedly drains his Odin-powered strength, cuts off his hand with his sword, and defeats him as the planet explodes. The rumors also suggest that Mystique, Shuri, Charles Xavier, Nightcrawler, and Bucky are the only characters who remain dead beyond the events of ‘Doomsday’.
So, some other deaths could be reversed in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. The possibility of Doom defeating heroes of this caliber raises an intriguing question: how much power does he really have?
