Wolverine may be getting a new ending after decades of loss, heartbreak, and sacrifice. A new rumour suggests that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will fall in love in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, bringing an emotional twist to what may be his last outing as the iconic Logan.

The report, which comes from insider Mytimetoshine, doesn’t mention who Wolverine‘s possible love interest could be. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. With Logan’s lengthy career, several scenarios would seem fitting.

One possibility is Elektra, particularly following her comeback in the MCU. Two battle-hardened heroes with complicated histories could have an emotionally grounded relationship without taking the place of the larger Multiverse story.

She-Hulk might be an alternative. The two have had some memorable moments in Marvel Comics. However, it would be a fresh and unexpected dynamic in the MCU. They have different personalities, with Logan being very serious and Jennifer Walters being very confident and funny. That could be interesting chemistry.

It’s also possible that Wolverine will meet one of the X-Men. But if Sadie Sink is Jean Gray, a romance between her and Jackman’s 57-year-old Logan would be out of place. If the studio decides to go the romantic route, then a character that is more age or experience appropriate to Logan would be more suitable.

Jackman’s Wolverine has never had a moment of happiness since his first appearance in 2000. He is one of the most iconic characters in superhero cinema, whose story is marked by tragedy, loneliness, and impossible choices.

If ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ is indeed the end of Jackman’s run as Logan, then an emotional ending could be a satisfying way to wrap it up. It wouldn’t need to dominate the film, but a relationship built on mutual respect and understanding would offer something audiences have rarely seen from this version of Wolverine.

At this point, the romance is just a rumor, and Marvel Studios has said virtually nothing about ‘Secret Wars’. However, the concept of Logan not being a warrior and instead finding peace is exciting. Wolverine has been through so much over the past decades on screen. So, a hopeful goodbye may be what he deserves.
