“I Feel Like That Was A Fan Service”: ‘Agatha All Along’ Actor Joe Locke Opens Up About Mephisto Name-Drop 

Joe Locke, the rising star who portrays Billy Maximoff in ‘Agatha All Along’, recently opened up about the challenges of keeping the secret of Billy Maximoff’s identity under wraps. The revelation that Teen is actually the grown-up son of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch was a major plot twist.

Moreover, Locke also opened up about the much-awaited Mephisto namedrop that happened in the series. The existence of Mephisto in the MCU has always been speculated on. So the confirmation was a huge deal for fans. 

Joe Locke Says The Mephisto Name-Drop Was A “Great” Experience

One of the most talked-about moments in ‘Agatha All Along’ was the casual mention of Mephisto. The name-drop sent shockwaves through the Marvel community, as fans speculated about the potential role of the iconic villain in the MCU.

Locke, who is a Marvel fan himself, found the Mephisto reference exciting. “That was great,” he admitted while talking to Comicbook. “I feel like that was a very fan-service/wider MCU thing that I have no idea about. But, it definitely is fun to bring to life, as a fan of Marvel,” he added. 

The name Mephisto has been a subject of speculation among Marvel fans ever since WandaVision.’  Many viewers believed that the mysterious figure pulling the strings behind the events of the show was Mephisto. However, the series concluded without any explicit confirmation of Mephisto’s involvement. So, the mention of Mephisto in ‘Agatha All Along’ came as a surprise to many fans. 

Joe Locke On The Possibility Of Young Avengers’ Debut

Joe Locke, like all the MCU actors, remained tight-lipped about the possibility of the Young Avengers making their debut in the MCU. While many fans are eager for the team to assemble, Locke admits that he is not privy to any specific plans.

I don’t know,” he said in the same interview. “I mean, I obviously would love for that to happen because I love working with Marvel and I love Billy as a character and would love to carry on playing him. But, I don’t know anything about it,” he further explained.

Moreover, Locke emphasized that he is not keeping any secrets about the Young Avengers. He simply doesn’t have any information to share. “If that’s their plan, that’s great and I absolutely love that. But, they don’t tell me anything,” he said.

Locke may not be able to confirm or deny the Young Avengers’ appearance in the MCU. However, his enthusiasm for the character of Billy Maximoff is clear. Fans will have to wait and see if their hopes for a Young Avengers team-up will be realized.
