The Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has announced plans to develop a new Disney+ series focused on the “resurrected” White Vision character from the hit show ‘WandaVision‘. In an interview, Feige revealed the details of the new show and how it came to be under the direction of acclaimed showrunner Terry Matalas.
“After the events of WandaVision, we wanted to further explore Vision’s story and identity crisis after being restored without his memories” Feige said. “A streaming show afforded us the opportunity to really dive deep into the more contemplative aspects of who and what Vision is now“. This gives fans an insight into what’s to come in the show and also gets ready to meet the alternate version of Vision. Feige also added more about the show which intrigued fans even more. The Show’s ‘Star Trek’ Influence
In an interview with Inverse, Kevin Feige explained how Terry Matalas’ work on ‘Star Trek: Picard‘ season 3 made him stand out as a showrunner. “That’s how I got to know him, it was from his amazing [work on Picard Season 3]” Feige stated. “I said: This is incredible. I don’t know how this exists. Let me find the person who made this“. Impressed by the critical acclaim and innovative storytelling, Feige knew Matalas was the right man for the job.
Matalas’ incredible reputation doesn’t just end there. He has been widely acclaimed in the industry for a while now and has even landed himself a WGA award nomination as well. This reputation of his along with his impressive creative direction greatly impressed the top brass at the Marvel Studios, landing him the job.

The Release Date And Plot Hints
While plot details are very much under the wraps still, the White Vision show is scheduled for a 2026 debut on Disney+. Picking up after the climactic battle in ‘WandaVision‘, the series will most probably follow Vision, played by Paul Bettany, as he sets out on a journey of self-discovery.
As Feige told Inverse, the streaming format allows them to examine Vision’s existential crisis in a deeper fashion than the MCU films previously could. Fans will have to wait until 2026 to see Matalas’ creative vision for this unique and unexplored chapter in Vision’s story.
