For years, Marvel fans have been hoping for a big-screen battle between Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, and Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man. It seemed unlikely, given Vincent D’Onofrio’s repeated assertions that the iconic villain was being prevented from showing up in the Marvel theatrical films.
Now, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, has given a much more positive outlook.
Kevin Feige’s Comments Could Change Kingpin’s MCU Future
Feige, during the press tour for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ explained that there are rights issues with some characters, but that isn’t as impossible as fans had been led to believe. “There are things to navigate like everything else, but we talked about all those things,” he shared.

Feige didn’t confirm anything about the plans for Kingpin. However, his words suggest it’s more flexible than some had thought. Just that has sparked renewed interest in the possibility that the crime boss might eventually be coming to the big screen from Disney+.
This is a positive development for Spider-Man enthusiasts who have been waiting for years to witness one of the most formidable villains come to the big screen.
Kingpin-Spider-Man Showdown Still Feels Like The Natural Next Step
Kingpin has already proven himself to be one of the most powerful villains in the MCU, having appeared in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, Hawkeye, and Echo. He’s a natural enemy to Daredevil and Spider-Man, as he has a lot of influence over New York’s criminal underworld.

Kingpin doesn’t show up in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. But as per Feige’s latest comments, Marvel isn’t ruling out the possibility in the future. After the events of ‘No Way Home’, Spider-Man is in a much more grounded phase of his life and may need a break from multiversal threats with a crime lord like Fisk.
However, of course, there’s no official word yet, and Marvel is always tight-lipped about its long-term plans. But Feige’s remarks have turned the discussion. Instead of asking whether Kingpin can appear in an MCU film, fans are once again asking when it might finally happen.
