Kevin Feige is a name to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. As the President of the production giant, Marvel Studios, he has overseen a number of successful films and television shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) including ‘Ms. Marvel.’
But some of his decisions have received backlash from the audiences. Recently, his decision to whitewash the Inhumans from the MCU is not sitting well with the ardent fans of the comic books.

Whitewashing Of The Inhumans By Kevin Feige Splits Fans On Twitter
In the last episode of Disney+ miniseries ‘Ms. Marvel,’ the makers hinted that the titular superhero Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani) is a mutant.
The finale that aired on Wednesday, has a scene where Kamala is told that she is not an Inhuman. Instead, she has a mutation running in her genes. This connects her to the X-Men and making her the first mutant in MCU.
This deviation from the original source material has received a mostly mixed response from fans on social media. They are blaming Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige for it.
One of the users shared a Drake meme and wrote: “I think it’s safe to say after watching the ‘Ms. Marvel’ finale this is the mindset of Kevin Feige.”

Ms. Marvel’s Journey From Inhuman To Mutant
The Disney+ show got a lot of things right about Kamala Khan, including her Pakistani origin, and Muslim faith, except her actual origin. Unlike the show, Kamala is mentioned as a prominent shape-shifting Inhuman in comic books. While the show retains her abilities to stretch and enlarge, the biggest change in the character is that she is actually a mutant.
Fans have been blasting at Fiege for erasing Kamala’s original Inhuman background and favoring the mutant angle. This theme might be further explored in the next Marvel film which is titled ‘The Marvels.’
The film will serve as a sequel to 2019 ‘Captain Marvel,’ starring Brie Larson as the titular character. It will also feature Kamala, Teyonah Parris’s Monica Rambeau, alongside Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury.
It will be interesting to see how the future of MCU folds out and how the angry fans receive the upcoming content.
