Marvel Studios might be signaling the conclusion of one era of the MCU with ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, but the latest rumors indicate it could also be the beginning of something more.
Marvel has a number of projects and characters being developed or considered that could define the universe after the multiverse saga is finally over, according to industry insider Alex Perez.
Daredevil, Hulk And Marvel’s Supernatural Future
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 is rumored to feature Buck Cashman returning, which could cause some tension for Matt Murdock. A potential Daredevil/Elektra/Bullseye confrontation could provide Daredevil with a much more personal challenge.

Marvel also hasn’t seemingly closed the door on several other returning heroes. A solo Hulk project is reportedly being considered after ‘Secret Wars’, and She-Hulk might not be done with the MCU either. Meanwhile, Marvel is reportedly developing a ‘Werewolf by Night’ sequel and continues to have plans for ‘Moon Knight’.
Marvel Animation is also considering a theatrical animated MCU film which could bring a whole new approach to the MCU.
Nova Could Open The Door To Another Cosmic Saga
But the most significant change could be Nova. The project may be a way to introduce Nova Corps survivors who were on another world at the time of Thanos’ destruction of Xandar. If the universe resets, then maybe Marvel will revisit the destruction of Xandar after ‘Secret Wars’.

Annihilus is still expected to be a big part, with characters like Gladiator and Quasar being mentioned. Meanwhile, it is said that Darkhawk is not included in the plan at this time. More significantly, Nova might be linked to a significantly bigger cosmic narrative that will culminate in an Avengers-sized battle involving the Annihilation Wave.
Spider-Man’s future also has a lot in store for him, with villains like Mister Negative, Spencer Smythe, and the Jackal all being potential threats. Other ‘No Way Home’ villains might reappear in entirely new forms following the reset. Marvel may even revisit Eternals.
If these reports are true, then ‘Secret Wars’ may not be Marvel’s end game. It may just be the time when the MCU resets and begins to create its next big story.
