Rumors of deaths in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ are getting even more complex. According to a new claim, five major heroes will die during the film: three are X-Men, and two are Avengers, and the deaths are said to be “direct” or “normal.”
The claim is especially intriguing because of the difference between a normal death and a death resulting from the last Incursion. The rumour had it that only characters that died as a result of the Incursion may be able to come back in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. If a character dies by a “normal” death, then that death would be permanent.
Which X-Men Could Be In Danger?

Of course, the X-Men are the focus of the speculation. Both Cyclops and Magneto have been rumored to be returning for ‘Secret Wars’, which may make them less likely to be one of the three deaths of the X-Men that have been reported. This still leaves several other options.

Professor X, Mystique, Beast, and Nightcrawler have all become names fans are discussing, although there is currently no confirmed information identifying the characters who supposedly die. And honestly, that uncertainty is probably what makes the rumor so interesting.
Marvel has introduced or brought back several major X-Men characters for Doomsday, meaning even a seemingly obvious death could be designed to misdirect audiences. But all of these rumored deaths have never been officially confirmed, so they should be considered speculation instead of a confirmed plot detail.
Loki’s Fate May Be Even More Significant

The other side of the rumour is also interesting, especially since Loki has been linked to numerous ‘Doomsday’ theories in the past. Earlier, there were speculations that his destiny would somehow be linked directly to Doctor Doom, which could make Loki one of the characters whose demise could have significant ramifications for the Multiverse Saga.

The difference between Incursion deaths and direct deaths might also be a significant storytelling tool. If true, then ‘Secret Wars’ wouldn’t just respawn everyone, as the multiverse has been reset.
Real consequences would be felt in some deaths. That could make ‘Doomsday’ much more dangerous than audiences expect. However, if five big heroes are indeed destined to die forever, then Marvel could be facing some real heartbreak before ‘Secret Wars’ even starts.
