Marvel Studios appears to be looking beyond the Multiverse Saga, and some interesting rumors are starting to paint a picture of what the MCU’s next chapter could look like.

While ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ are expected to bring the current storyline to a major conclusion, the studio may already be laying the groundwork for several new franchises.

According to insider James Mackwl, Marvel has multiple projects and character introductions in development, with supernatural stories seemingly receiving considerable attention. One of the more interesting developments involves ‘Strange Academy’.

Marvel is reportedly beginning the casting process for characters including Emily Bright, Doyle Dormammu, Zoe Laveau, Iric Brorson, and Alvi Brorson. These characters could introduce an entirely new generation of magic users to the MCU. Rumors also suggest Wong and America Chavez could return for the project.

Their involvement would make sense, particularly considering their existing connections to Doctor Strange and the mystical side of the franchise. Another major possibility is the long-awaited introduction of the Midnight Sons. Marvel is also reportedly looking to cast Doctor Voodoo, a powerful supernatural character who could become an important addition to the team.

Anthony Ramos could also reprise his role as Parker Robbins, better known as The Hood, introduced in ‘Ironheart’.  Meanwhile, Robbie Reyes, the Ghost Rider version introduced in ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’, could finally make his way into the main MCU storyline. Interestingly, the rumor suggests Marvel might give him a bigger role in the Avengers’ story.

The Avengers franchise could also be heading in an unexpected direction. The 2018 comic storyline ‘Avengers: The Final Host’, featuring the return of the Celestials and the arrival of the Dark Celestials, is reportedly being considered as inspiration for the next Avengers movie.

Additionally, Cate Blanchett could return as Hela in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, while Marvel is reportedly planning younger versions of Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne for its next saga. If these rumors prove accurate, Marvel could be preparing a significant generational shift.

Between younger Avengers, supernatural heroes, and familiar characters returning in new forms, the next saga might feel considerably different from what audiences have experienced so far.
