Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has sent shockwaves through the fandom with a cryptic statement about the potential return of beloved characters like Iron Man and Captain America.
In a recent interview with Discussingfilm, Feige referenced the successful reintroduction of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’. However, surprisingly, he treated it as a potential blueprint for bringing back other iconic figures.

“It Can Be Done If Great Care Is Taken:” Kevin Feige On Iron Man And Steve Rogers’ Return
Feige’s carefully worded statement has ignited speculation about the future of the MCU “That’s the key, right? How do you do it in a way that maintains what has come before, and in a great way?” he stated.
He further talked about how it took him and the team 2 years to figure out how to bring Wolverine back after ‘Logan‘s perfect ending. “We’re just proud that we, I think, have figured it out for Wolverine. I think Hugh’s appearance and starring role in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is a great sign that it can be done if great care is taken,” Feige further added.
Moreover, with the addition of Multiverse, anything is possible. Could we truly see the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man or Chris Evans as Captain America? The prospect is both thrilling and daunting. Additionally, while the idea of bringing back these beloved characters is undeniably exciting, it’s equally important to maintain the emotional impact of their original departures.
However, the anticipation surrounding ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ especially due to Wolverine’s return has definitely made it a possibility. Moreover, if Marvel can replicate the magic they captured with Jackman’s return, bringing back Iron Man or Captain America could be a game-changer.

How Can Captain America And Iron Man Return To The MCU?
So, Feige’s dropped a bombshell, huh? Iron Man and Cap back from the dead? But how do they pull this off without ruining everything we loved about their original stories? One idea is obviously the Multiverse.
Maybe a new villain messes with the timeline, creating alternate realities where they’re still alive. Or, maybe a new threat is so huge that the remaining Avengers have to pull the two out of the alternative timelines. However, whatever they do, it has to feel earned and respect the characters’ original journeys.
Both Iron Man and Steve Rogers had their own perfect endings in ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Messing with that might result in a complete disaster. However, with Hugh’s return being teased as perfect, anything is possible. Maybe Iron Man and Steve Rogers return to the MCU and write a whole different story.
