When evil Nebula from 2014 deceived her way in 2024, she helped 2014’s Thanos from the past bring his Sanctuary II warship. He wrecked the Avengers Facility, leaving all superheroes stuck in the rubble except three, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor.

These 3 went toe-to-toe against the Titan giving fans a great moment of three OG synergising their attacks and bringing Thanos to his knees. The creators kept the three apart in both films till the end to give fans this earned moment.

    5. Heart-Aching Death Of Black Widow

When the Avengers decided to execute the “Time Heist”, they assigned the task of getting Infinity Stones to different teams. The group of Ant-Man, Iron Man, Captain America and Bruce Banner went to 2012’s New York to get the Space Stone (Tesseract), Mind Stone (Stone from Loki’s Septem) and Time Stone.

Thor and Rocket Racoon were tasked to bring Reality Stone. Finally, the team of Nebula, War Machine (Rhodes), Clint and Natasha were to bring Power and Soul Stone.

Nebula sent Clint and Natasha to Vormir to retrieve the Soul Stone. As fans saw in the previous ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, Soul Stone asks sacrifice of a loved one. Thanos sacrificed Gamora to get one.

When the keeper of Soul Stone (Red Skull) explains it to them, they start fighting to save the other. Their fight scene was perfectly choreographed but Natasha got the upper hand and sacrificed herself. Fans were shocked that the creators actually killed off an OG Avenger.

    4. The A-Force Assemble

The one condition of the “Time Heist” was after bringing everyone back, they had to return every Infinity Stone to exactly the time and space where they took from. When the Sanctuary II warship destroyed the Avengers Facility, the only Time Machine left was in the back of Scott Lang’s Van.

So now while fighting the big army of Thanos, some members had to bring the stones to Scott. During this scene, they first played hot potato with Nano-Gauntlet between Hawk-Eye, Black Panther and Spider-Man, later they played hot potato with Spider-Man holding the Nano-Gauntlet.

After Spidey was left alone in the field with an army ahead of him. Captain Marvel arrives there to take charge of delivery, accompanied by Scarlet Witch, Okoyem Shuri, Wasp, Valkyrie, Rescue (Pepper Pots), Gamora, Nebula, and Mantis. All women teamed up teasing a future A-Force project.

During his trip to Asgard in the past to bring the Reality Stone, Thor also brings in his hammer Mjölnir with him which his sister Hela destroyed in 2017’s ‘Thor Ragnarok’. When Thanos arrives on Earth from the past, Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man fight him. Before facing the Titan, fans saw Thor wielding both Mjölnir and Stormbreaker which was very epic.

However, Thanos was clearly very strong and was beating all three left right, and center. He had Thor pinned as Thor commands Stormbreaker but Thanos catches it in the middle. This Thanos from the past already saw what Thor did to him in the future and tried to cut his chest with the Stormbreaker.

However, Mjölnir starts floating and fans thought it was going to Thor. However, it went flying to Captain America. Thor said, “I knew it“, a call back to Captain America slightly lifting Mjölnir in 2014’s ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’.

Cap starts beating Thanos with Mjölnir and his shield in one of the best 1v1 combat sequences. It was an unreal moment for the fans to see Captain America commanding lightning with Mjölnir.

    2. The Final Assemble

When Iron Man and Thor were down and out and others were still stuck in the rubble, Captain America was the only member left on the battlefield against Thanos and his humongous army.

With the broken shield, a huge cut in the arm and beaten up, he still stood tall against this army and was ready to give his all till his last breath. When Steve Rogers thought he was all alone, he heard someone in his com device. Sam Wilson (Falcon) tells Captain to look to his left (a joke from ‘Captain America Winter Soldier).

As he looks behind a portal opens up with the late Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther coming out with his army. Sam Wilson flies in from the portal. In the blink of an eye, Dr Strange opens up multiple portals bringing in everyone, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Wong and Sorcerers, Spider-Man, Asgardians and many more.

Ant-man emerges from the rubble with War-Machine, Hulk and Rocket. Pepper Potts flies in with her Rescue suit. Everyone lines in with the Avengers OG theme running in the background as Captain America shouts “Avengers Assemble”. With Iron Man leading the charge of the flying army and Captain America taking charge of people on the land, it was “Cinema” at its peak.

In 2012’s ‘The Avengers‘ Captain America told Tony Stark that Tony doesn’t have the heart to sacrifice himself to save people. However, In every Avengers movie, Tony was there to sacrifice himself.

During the final phase of their fight against Thanos in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, Thanos was crunching on to win it all again. Tony Stark looks at Dr Strange and Strange indicates that it is the only outcome out of 14,000,605 where they can defeat Thanos.

Tony without any second thought and helmet, jumps on Thanos to snatch the Infinity Stones but eats a punch. Thanos says “I am inevitable” and snaps his finger thinking he has done it again to realize the Nano-Gauntlet is empty. The camera turns to Iron Man sitting on his knees with all Infinity Stones in his hand and delivers the most iconic dialogue, “And I am Iron Man” and snaps his finger to turn Thanos and his army to dust.

The power of Infinity Stones damaged Tony severely. Every member of the team ran to him as he was taking his last breath. He smiled at Pepper and left everyone with tears in their eyes of heroes and the audience.

Later before the ceremony, Pepper Potts, Happy Hogan and his daughter Morgan Stark, watch a pre-recorded message that Tony made in case thing goes south. Everyone was present for the service including Harley from ‘Iron Man 3’. It was a perfect send-off to the hero who put the foundation of this glorious franchise.
