Marvel Studios has been making waves in the television landscape with its Disney+ shows, offering fans a deeper dive into their favorite characters and introducing new ones. With shows like ‘Agatha All Along’ and ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ on the way, fans have a lot to look forward to.
Moreover, as the studio continues to expand its television slate, they are shifting their focus towards a more traditional approach to storytelling. Recently, Marvel television head Brad Winderbaum shared his opinion on the concept. Here’s what he said.
Brad Winderbaum Talks About Marvel Working On Several Shows Simultaneously
In a recent interview with EW, Brad Winderbaum revealed that the studio is now thinking about television more like traditional television. He revealed that Marvel is aiming to create shows that can last for multiple seasons to allow characters to develop and evolve over time.
“We are thinking about television really more like traditional television where they could last for multiple seasons, where we can see the characters brew in the culture for hopefully many years,” he stated. This approach is a departure from the earlier days of Marvel’s TV era, when shows were often tied directly to the movies.
Additionally, Winderbaum highlighted the success of ‘WandaVision‘ as an example of how this new approach can work. Brad further talked about Marvel developing different shows simultaneously. “One thing we are doing is we’re developing a lot of shows now simultaneously,” Winderbaum explained. He explained that before finalizing any shows they are writing pilots for several.
‘WandaVision’ Writer Expresses Hopes For Expanding The MCU’s Magical Realm
Jac Schaeffer, the head writer of ‘WandaVision‘, also discussed the future of the show and its potential impact on the MCU. “I feel really lucky to have been given the task of defining witchcraft in the MCU,” she claimed. She expressed her hope that ‘WandaVision‘ would serve as a jumping-off point for exploring more magic and the Westview community in other properties.

Fans can therefore look forward to long-running shows from the Marvel Universe.
