After a diminutive role in 2021 ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, Dallas Liu made the headline for his role as Prince Zuko in Netflix’s live-action series, ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender‘. The series is the adaptation of the animation series on Nickelodeon.
Over the years, many actors have expressed their interest in being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but only a few of them had their dreams come true. Only time will tell if Liu will be considered again in the MCU for his desired role.

‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Inspired Dallas Liu To Play Pyro
‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ star Dallas Liu revealed that his role as Prince Zuko sparked interest in playing X-Men’s Pyro in the future MCU. While speaking with the Nerdist, Dallas Liu said, “Iceman is a good pick just because I felt like nobody wants to talk about him. But now I would have to say I’m fully Pyro.”
Liu credits his role in ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ for mastering the art of fire, further continuing, “He’s so bad. So bad. I think it’s a lot easier to imagine fire in a fight scene versus ice. You don’t know exactly the shape of it, how fast it’s moving.” The actor further concluded saying, “So yeah, I’m fully just Team Fire in general. The color red, it’s good.”
Liu also shared his experience shooting with the fire and action sequence. He also added that the team had to creatively modify the elements including the fire swirl. He also mentioned that the element “felt like second nature to me, and the stunt team was nice enough to let me have some input on what these fights would look like. There were a few fire blasts in me and Zhao’s fight that I really got to play with.”

Aaron Stanford Is Holding Tight To The Mantle Of Pyro
Despite his desire, Dallas Liu’s portrayal of Pyro might not be anytime soon. Aaron Stanford has been playing the role of the mutant in ‘X2’ and ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’, and will reprise the role of Pyro in the upcoming ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘.
The threequel of ‘Deadpool’ will explore the multiverse variants of the X-Men, which are most likely to be recast. ‘Deadpool 3’ will mark X-Men’s official entry into the MCU with Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as the titular character and Hugh Jackman making a comeback as Wolverine after seven years.
