Patrick Stewart Will Reportedly Reprise His Role As Professor X In ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

The highly anticipated film ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ is set to be a monumental event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is expected to bring together heroes from across the multiverse. 

One character who has been rumored to make a return is Professor X, played by the legendary Patrick Stewart. While Stewart’s appearance in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ was brief, it left fans wanting more.

Professor X’s Will Possibly Return In ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

Now, popular insider MyTimeToShine quoted a tweet featuring Professor X’s death in Doctor Strange 3 and claimed that he would return for ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘ as the beloved character. When asked about the possibility of returning as Professor X, Stewart has not been dismissive. 

In ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, a variant of Professor X from another universe was brought into the MCU through the Illuminati. Additionally, he served as a mentor and advisor to Doctor Strange and the other Illuminati members.

However, during a confrontation with the Scarlet Witch, Professor X was fatally wounded when she used her powers to lift him into the air and snap his neck. Moreover, his portrayal of the powerful telepath was widely praised, and many people wanted him back.

Patrick Stewart Also Teased His Possible Comeback

In an interview with EtalkCTV, Patrick Stewart addressed the ongoing rumors about his potential return as Professor X in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. While he couldn’t confirm or deny the reports, Stewart hinted that it’s a possibility.

I cannot put [those rumors] to rest because it’s not a fact either for or against,” he stated. The actor claimed that he believed ‘Logan’ to be his and Hugh Jackman’s farewell. With Hugh returning as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool And Wolverine‘ Professor X could return too!

Patrick even joked about dying and returning several times. “Given that I died in that film, although I’ve been told I’ve actually died several times already [Laughs]. How do I do it?” he stated. Moreover, with the multiverse now fully open in the MCU, the possibilities are endless.
