The rumors about ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘ are continuing to spread. Now, one of them claims that Peter Parker may be getting an unusually busy rogues’ gallery.
The report (via Danielrpk) says the film will have seven villains, some of which have already been confirmed, and two big villains are yet to be revealed. If that’s the case, Marvel Studios and Sony could be preparing one of Spider-Man’s most unpredictable adventures ever.
‘Brand New Day’ Could Be Hiding Its Real Main Villain
The reported cast of characters includes Scorpion, Tombstone, Boomerang, Tarantula, and the infamous Hand, a group of ninjas. That’s a bad enough list of villains. However, there are two more that aren’t announced yet, according to the reports.

One of the most popular fan theories is Jackal. If Marvel is adapting him, he might be the one behind the conflict, rather than just a criminal for Spider-Man to deal with. He is a scientist, and his twisted experiments would make him a central antagonist who could control many different villains.
Another popular name is Chameleon. He’s the master of disguise and could easily be hidden until a big reveal in the third act of the movie, which is all about mystery and deception. There are also rumors about Shocker following some teases. However, there is no indication whether he would be a big part or just a cameo.
The Secret Villains Could Be More Than Just The Bad Guys
Interestingly, not all of the rumored characters would necessarily be traditional villains. Some fans think that Venom might come back. A rumor previously claimed that Holland’s Spider-Man would fight the other Spider-Man, raising Symbiote speculations.

All of these reports are unconfirmed, and Marvel Studios hasn’t said much about the film’s story for now. However, there are always possibilities of dark characters and alliances that fans can speculate on. The actual cast lineup could be the same as what was rumored or completely different. But ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ promises to be one of the MCU’s biggest releases to come.
