The God Of Thunder, Thor has been an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is the strongest Avenger, and also the only member to have more than 3 solo movies. However, the last Thor movie, ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ was not well received.
It stretched out the goofiness of the character and completely derailed from the serious and brooding nature of Thor fans got to see in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame’. Chris Hemsworth recently revealed that he blames himself for what happened with Thor in the latest solo movie.
The popular insider DanielRPK revealed that ‘Thor 5’ is currently under development. In addition to that, the director of the past 2 solo Thor movies, Taika Waititi will not be sitting in the director’s seat.
‘Thor 5’ Might Take The Foes-Turned-Friends Story Route
One of the repetitive formulas fans have been seeing in sci-fi movies is the uniting of heroes and supposed villains to take out the third threat. Fans saw this in 2016’s ‘Batman V Superman’ and 2021’s ‘Godzilla Vs Kong’. Both the characters fight each other throughout the movie just to join hands to take out a bigger threat.
In the post-credit scene of ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’, Marvel introduced Hercules and teased him as the next villain to fight Thor. Some fans are expecting him to be the main villain in the next Thor movie.
However, the Marvel comic book readers know that Hercules is not a villain, but a superhero. So it is believed that Thor will indeed go 1-on-1 with Hercules, however, they will later make peace to fight the main villain.
In the comic, Hercules first appeared to help Thor against Immortus, a variant of Kang. Since the movie is expected to arrive before ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’, both gods teaming up to fight a variant of Kang makes sense.
Another out-of-the-box villain that fans can expect is the “King In Black” Knull. He is the king of the symbiote and has a good history with the God Of Thunder. He is the original wielder of the Necrosword that Gorr: The God Butcher had in ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’.

Thor Will Make His Way Back In The Avengers With ‘Thor 5’
As mentioned earlier, both Thor and Hercules might fight Immortus in ‘Thor 5’, which might lead God Of Thunder to return the team of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. After ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Thor left with Guardians Of The Galaxy for a new adventure.
However, he later tangled in the fight with the gods when Gorr shows up. Now it is expected that after smoothening things up with Hercules, Thor will join back his original team.
When Thor returns to the Earth this time, he will finally learn about the multiverse and probably his brother Loki. With everything going on in the space, he has been away from the mess going on.
