Tom Holland is officially a part of one of the MCU’s most demanded crossovers. The ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ actor recently revealed his desire to see Peter Parker team up with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool

However, he doesn’t know how Marvel would do it. “That would be a lot of fun,” Holland said. “How would we do that though?

It’s a simple question, but one that instantly sparked excitement among fans. After all, Spider-Man and Deadpool have had one of the most fun-filled comic book partnerships of all time, thanks to their polar opposite personalities. Their adventures have become fan favourites over the years.

In the comic, Spider-Man and Deadpool are a recipe for constant chaos. Peter Parker is typically the hero who makes sure to keep everything under control, and Deadpool loves to break the rules, make inappropriate jokes, and push everyone’s patience to the limit.

They make for so many funny scenes. Deadpool is constantly poking fun at Spider-Man with his incessant banter and crazy ideas, and his fourth-wall-breaking jokes, while Peter is the frustrated grown-up in the room for a change.

Though they are different, the two have had an unlikely friendship over several comic storylines. Deadpool is wacky. Still, he has a lot of respect for Spider-Man. Whereas Peter repeatedly discovers there’s more heart behind the Merc with a Mouth than most people realise.

A live-action crossover is more possible than ever. It seems that everything is falling into place now that Deadpool has officially become a part of the MCU after ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, and Holland is set to return with ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’.

The most difficult part might not be getting the characters together; it would be getting the right story. Unlike the outrageous and R-rated Deadpool, Spider-Man’s hopeful, emotional journey is a very different one, and Marvel would need to strike the perfect balance without losing what makes each hero special.

Yet, it is this very aspect that makes the concept so thrilling. Peter Parker trying to keep Deadpool from getting out of hand during a mission while Wade turns every situation into a joke could deliver some of the MCU’s funniest moments.

As of yet, Holland’s remarks are only wishful thinking and not a tease of what is to come. However, when the time is right, and Marvel decides to bring its friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man together with its loudest antihero, fans know they are in for one unforgettable adventure.
