The recent CinemaCon had the Deadpool fans buzzing after the screening offered a glimpse of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine.’ As we all know Marvel is super secretive about its projects. So, the highly anticipated team-up movie is shrouded in mystery.
Additionally, the screening seemed to confirm Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor would be joining the fray. But in a recent interview, Hemsworth himself seemed as surprised as anyone by his inclusion!

Chris Hemsworth’s Appearance In ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ Is A Result Of “Editing Magic”
While the CinemaCon footage clearly showed Deadpool interacting with the God of Thunder, Hemsworth assures fans it wasn’t quite the epic meeting they might have hoped for. “Let’s just say my appearance in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is more of a cosmic coincidence,” the actor revealed.
Hemsworth went on to explain that he hadn’t filmed any new scenes specifically for the movie. Apparently, the Deadpool team got creative. “There was a scene in ‘Thor: The Dark World’ that found its way into the Deadpool movie… with some Deadpool-esque editing magic, of course,” he said in an interview with comicbookmovie.com.

This isn’t the first time Deadpool has messed with the MCU timeline. His first movie famously poked fun at various superhero tropes. While some fans might be a tad disappointed not to see a full-fledged Deadpool-Thor throwdown, Hemsworth is definitely not. “Look, if it means getting roasted by Deadpool, then so be it,” he laughed.

What Does This Mean for the Future of Thor?
Hemsworth’s comments about his “cameo” leave us wondering what the future holds for the Asgardian Avenger. Recent rumors suggested he might be done wielding Mjolnir, and his dissatisfaction with how ‘Love and Thunder’ wrapped up his character adds fuel to that fire.
However, Hemsworth also hinted that he might be open to returning in the future. “I do feel I owe the fans a proper send-off after, well, you know…” he said presumably referring to his dissatisfaction with ‘Love and Thunder’s ending. Whether that proper send-off comes alongside Deadpool or in another form entirely remains to be seen.
