Be it the unforgettable Gus Fring from ‘Breaking Bad’ or the formidable CEO Stan Edgar from ‘The Boys’, Giancarlo Esposito makes villainy look fun. And now, he has his sights set on the Marvel universe.

While Marvel progresses towards phase 4 of the cinematic universe, there’s a list of actors we would love to see come aboard. Giancarlo Esposito would make a fantastic addition to MCU and has expressed his desire to play an important, game-changing character if given a chance.

On his appearance on the talk show‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,’ the  ‘Breaking Bad’ actor was seen talking up his upcoming work on ‘The Mandalorian’ and the Netflix series ‘Kaleidoscope.’ When Jimmy Fallon approached the topic of Marvel, Giancarlo Esposito expressed his admiration for Kevin Feige and his cinema tentpole. He went on to say he would like to play Professor X.

‘Breaking Bad’ Actor Is Looking Forward To Playing Charles Xavier

Synonymous with playing wicked characters, he wants to play a good guy finally. Giancarlo Esposito manifested his desire to play Charles Xavier, saying, “But, look, I want to play a good guy. And Charles is smart. He’s good. But I feel as if there may be some mileage with me and Marvel. I know I love what they do. I know I love creativity. So, who knows what could happen? Keep putting it out there.

Kevin Feige and the team have their hands full to bring more A-listers to the rooster to keep the franchise fresh and exciting. We have already seen this exodus of movie stars to Marvel: Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, Christian Bale, Olivia Coleman, and Tatiana Maslany. Bill Murray and Jonathan Majors will appear in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.’ We hope that Giancarlo Esposito will be a familiar face to Marvel, whatever role he gets to play. Marvel, sign him already!
