Scarlet Witch was established as a powerful supervillain/Avenger after ‘Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness‘. Not only did she defeat Doctor Strange but also demolished Marvel’s Illuminati. But she is the kind of supervillain that fans sympathize with. First, she lost her husband Vision, and her kids, and by the end of ‘Multiverse of Madness‘, she lost her magic and herself.
Wanda Maximoff serves as the main antagonist in the ‘House of M‘ series. It is a series of events that revolve around the Avengers Disassembled. Maximoff lost hold over reality after realizing her kids were fake and the product of her magic and Mephisto’s soul. Unable to withstand the grief, she unknowingly created an alternative universe where her kids and husband are alive.
How Scarlet Witch Loses In ‘House Of M’
‘House of M‘ marked one of the most shocking displays of catastrophic power portrayed by Scarlet Witch, but surprisingly it made her a better hero. She is the only character whose mental health was put to light and the reason behind her creation of the multiverse. But over time, Scarlet Witch proved to be a better hero than a villain. In that ‘House of M‘ storyline, Scarlet Witch creates an alternate world where Magneto is the ruler of the Earth and mutants reign supreme, but even granting Magneto absolute power isn’t enough for him to love her.
Scarlet Witch says no more mutants and erases most of the mutant population from the Earth. Many mutants showed deep resentment toward Wanda, even after she reformed. Out of all the mutants, Rogue showed the most hatred towards Wanda. Rogue then killed Scarlet Witch in the ‘Uncanny Avengers‘ series, during a mission to stop the Apocalypse Twins. Rogue, one of the most powerful X-Men, absorbed the powers from her teammates and turned on the Scarlet Witch at her most vulnerable, taking revenge for what happened years before.

Who Is Rogue?
Rogue is a mutant who has the uncontrollable ability to absorb the energy of others only through physical contact, temporarily incorporating their abilities, powers, personality, and even memories with a touch, a process that actually wears out victims. Rogue was also a member of the Avengers Unity Division, a team designed to improve mutant-human relations and she eventually became their leader.
The majority of the Marvel Heroes agree that Wanda has to die. Her powers were way too devastating and there was no easy way to control them. After hearing this news, her twin Quicksilver rushed to her rescue and convinced her of a solution that could fix everyone’s reality.
