Death (Puss In Boots) Vs Tai Lung (Kung Fu Panda): Who Is A Better Villain?

The battle between two villains is always more intriguing and nail bitting than the fight between a hero Vs villain. Both the villains were considered powerful in their own movies, but when pitted against each other, who is likely to win?

Formed in 1994 created by David Geffen, Steven Spielberg, and Jeffery Katzenberg, Dreamwork has been created for the rise of CGI animated films. One of the reasons why Dreamwork is considered to be a raging success is because of its ability to blend drama and comedy smoothly in its stories. Featured in 2022 ‘Puss in Boot: The Last Wish,’ The Wolf a.k.a Death voiced by the Narcos star Wagner Moura has a wonderful complex characterization. It turns out the antagonist, is the death himself who has appeared to take Puss’s last life as revenge for the way for the protagonist action’s in the previous life. But there is something to remember Death is actually not entirely evil, but simply delivering a message for the fans.

Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda is a classic example of someone who is a victim of pride. His story tells the danger of pushing someone towards success. Instead of accepting his defeat, Tai Lung was told he was the best by his adopted father Shi Fu. He was raised to believe that he is destined to become the Dragon Warrior who did not give up after being rejected by Master Oogway.

To claim who is the better villain between Death and Tai Lang there are many factors to be taken into consideration. First, both of them had different motives, while Tai Lang’s motive was solely revenge, Death was humble in his motive. Although Tai Lang was driven by pride and success, Death was only there to deliver the message to the fans. Tai Lang’s fight with his adoptive father was one of the most emotional fights creating a soft spot for him.

But Death will go down as the best-aminated villain in the history of Dreamwork studios. The black hood, piercing ruby eyes, fancy curved blades, and a deep terrifying voice is simple yet effective. The Wolf is the literal embodiment of Death who warns Puss that he is living his ninth life. Concluding, The Wolf has a purpose behind becoming a villain, on the other hand, Tai Lang just couldn’t accept failure. Hence it is pretty direct on who is the better villain!
