The first look at Ethan Coen’s solo directorial film debut ‘Drive-Away Dolls’ is out. Ethan’s comedy crime caper has flashes of awkward violence and dry humor that showcased the early filmography of the Coen Brothers. The film is about two best friends, played by Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan, who take a vacation to deal with the monotony of their lives.
The plan is to spend the vacation cruising bars and have a wild time. But when their car breaks down, they find belongings that aren’t theirs. Soon, they find themselves as targets of a political scheme. Together, they must drive through Tallahassee and outrun the thugs following them.

Plot Details Of ‘Drive-Away Dolls’
‘Drive-Away Dolls’ centers on the odd-couple friendship between Jamie (Margaret Qualley) and Marian (Geraldine Viswanathan). While the previous is a reckless party animal going through another heartbreak, the latter finds herself in the middle of an identity crisis. The duo takes an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee to get out of their funk.
But things go south as soon they hit the road. They find themselves embroiled in the middle of a crime involving a mysterious briefcase, henchmen, a disgruntled ex-girlfriend, and an evil senator hot on their trail. ‘Drive-Away Dolls’ is a callback to the early 1970s exploitation/road trip movies.
