Old is gold. And this holiday season we will see a comeback of a Christmas movie classic, ‘A Christmas Story‘. Warner Brothers’ production released the trailer on YouTube on 1 November, 2022 and it has put viewers from the 80s and vintage media lovers in a capering fervor.
The trailer made adults emotionally reminisce as they saw all the original cast members, especially the beloved little Ralphie, now gray-haired, married, and a father! In the trailer, we see now a “certified adult” Ralphie, promising his mother to make this big family Christmas a memorable one. Ralphie doubts his ability to meet the homely and festive standards of his father and we see him struggling with his responsibilities. But we are sure that the holiday stress will not make the best of our hero and he will pull off a Christmas miracle.

‘A Christmas Story’ Trailer: Jumping Back To The 80s
Warner Brothers Studios reached into the dusty cabinet and pulled out a holiday classic to go with the festive season. After almost forty years the story of innocent-looking Ralphie continues. But before the sequel hits HBO Max, let’s have a recap of the story.
The 1983 film is narrated by an adult Ralphie who relates his most memorable Christmas when he was nine years old. The big-glassed and obviously naïve Ralphie wanted an air rifle for Christmas. When he is denied this unusual present by his mother and teacher, he relates his disappointment to his two best friends – Flick and Schwartz. We see the parents and children struggle laughably in the hustle and bustle of holidays. When Christmas morning arrives Ralphie finds a hidden box in a corner that contains none other than the very demanded rifle. Now he doesn’t blow his eye out as his mother said but he does knock himself out while firing the rifle and breaks his gigantic glasses. Ralphie claims that it was the best Christmas he had and it was the best present he has gotten or will ever get.

Twitter Explodes With Nostalgia
People started pulling out their ‘A Christmas Story‘ merchandise – mugs, sweats and t-shirts. The announcement of the installment after forty years has been received with bitter-sweet sentiments by Twitter.
The end of the trailer revealed the date ‘A Christmas Story‘ can be streamed on HBO Max. The production will treat is with the movie on 17 November 2022.
