‘Mad Max: Fury Road‘s prequel ‘Furiosa‘s trailer just dropped and it looks promising. The trailer for the 2015 film’s prequel has been anticipated for a long time.
Directed by George Miller, the film marks the fifth installment in the ‘Mad Max‘ series. Here are all the details about the Anya Taylor Joy film and what we can expect.

‘Furiosa’ Plot
The official synopsis for the film reads, “As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”
The trailer begins with a muffled gunshot sound and a pan across the Wasteland. “Whatever you have to do, however long it takes, promise me you’ll find your way home,” the voiceover says. Cut to a young Furiosa clutching a teddy bear while being taken from her family in a cage. It’s then time to fire up the engines and the chaos begins. The trailer includes everything that was expected, the War Boys with skull masks, the skinheads, explosions, a juvenile Immortan Joe, and a fleeting view of the pristine Green Place of Many Mothers.

Cast And Release Date
Initially, the film was scheduled to release on June 23, 2023. Later, it was confirmed that the film will hit theatres on 24th May 2024.
There are also speculations that the film will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024.
As for the cast, Anya Taylor Joy has replaced Charlize Theron in the new film. Chris Hemsworth co-stars with Taylor-Joy as Warlord Dementus, the leader of the biker gang that abducts a young Furiosa. Nathan Jones and Angus Sampson return to their roles as Rictus Erectus (son of Immortan Joe) and the Organic Mechanic, respectively. The younger Immortan Joe’s actor is still not confirmed, although the cast includes Tom Burke, Lacey Hulme, Ayla Browne, Quaden Bayels, and Daniel Webber as War Boy in unspecified parts.
