During an interview with Business Insider, Glen Powell said, “I’ll pretty much give Sydney all the credit for this. I don’t have the mental capacity to pull anything like this off, but she’s very smart. She’s very smart. I had such a wonderful journey with her on this thing.”
Glen Powell also addressed the cheating rumors with Sydney Sweeney. He admitted that the hardest part of the promotion was that he was going through a breakup.
Glen added, “The only reason it made things harder for me to lean into that stuff was that I was going through a very real breakup amidst a promotional tour. I was with someone that I really loved and cared about and was trying to kind of make sense of a lot of stuff.”

Glen Powell, in another interview, talked about how Sydney Sweeney was the perfect person to have chemistry with, which was reflected in the film. He admitted that it was easier to fall in love with her in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
During the interview, Glen Powell said, “A great rom-com doesn’t survive without great chemistry, and Sydney is the easiest person to have chemistry with.”
Glen added, “I think anybody that’s been on the set realizes I never get tired of talking to Sydney. We make each other laugh. She’s awesome, obviously one of the most talented actresses we have. This movie has felt like a rom-com in itself because Sydney is very easy to pretend fall in love with.”
