Glen Powell is stepping on the ladder of success. The actor was part of hit movie ‘Anyone But You’ and is also currently leading summer’s two biggest movies. His career is thriving but the actor revealed he was dropped from one of his biggest roles.
Powell revealed during an interview that he was running for big role in ‘Oppenheimer‘ but was dropped by Christopher Nolan. The movie could have been his biggest projects but it didn’t work out for him.
Glen Powell Was Dropped From ‘Oppenheimer’
‘Oppenheimer‘ was one of the blockbuster movies by mastermind Christopher Nolan, which won seven Academy Awards. The movie had the perfect cast, with exceptional storytelling and top-notch visuals.
During an interview with GQ Magazine UK, Glen Powell talked about various things including his career, life, and next projects. But one surprising thing he revealed during the interview was, that he was running for a part in ‘Oppenheimer.‘
Glen said during the interview that he missed out on the opportunity to take on Josh Hartnett’s role in ‘Oppenheimer‘ by a small margin. But he also added that there’s still hope as he’s still in contact with Christopher Nolan and his faith says that they might do something together. Moreover, Glen is also co-creating a Captain Planet TV series alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.

“I Was Always A Batman Guy”: Powell On Playing A Super-Hero Role
During the same interview, Powell also revealed “I was always a Batman guy,”. Glen Powell has no intention of playing any superhero but loves the idea of Bruce Wayne. He continued, “I would have a wild take on Batman. It definitely would not be like a Matt Reeves tone – it’d probably be closer to Keaton. Oh, sick!” He has found Keaton’s Batmobile. “See? This is the era.”
Although the actor hasn’t played Batman but is pretty close to the character. He said, “I get my head smashed in by Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.”
Glen also shared the struggles he faced during the early days of his career. He moved to LA from Texas in 2008 and went to many agents. Previously, the actor also said that he is quitting acting as he had earned enough to go back to his family in Texas and live a peaceful life with them.
