Greta Gerwig Signs Netflix Deal To Write And Direct Multiple ‘Chronicles Of Narnia’ Movies

Greta Gerwig is going from Barbies’s pastel pink world to Narnia’s snowy forests. Netflix has signed on the ‘Barbie’ director to bring the ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ novels on screen. The writer-director is no stranger to the streamer, appearing in their 2022 film ‘White Noise,’ directed by her husband and filmmaker Noah Baumbach.

Since ‘Lady Bird,’ Greta Gerwig has become one of the most sought-after studio directors. While ‘Barbie’ was considered an odd project choice, the trailer has cast out any previous doubts. The Warner Brothers have great faith in the movie, which is projected to make more money than ‘Oppenheimer.’
