Netflix has tapped Greta Gerwig to adapt ‘Chronicles Of Narnia’ novels into movies. The ‘Lady Bird’ and ‘Barbie’ director is going to direct at least two movies based on C.S. Lewis’ beloved novels. Greta Gerwig’s representative has confirmed that the writer-director is taking on another beloved IP for a masterful adaptation.
Jeremy Barber, Greta Gerwig’s agent, informed The New Yorker, ” Greta and I have been very consciously constructing a career. Her ambition is to be not the biggest woman director but a big studio director. And Barbie was a piece of IP that was resonant to her.”

Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ To Open At $60 Million
Greta Gerwig’s much-anticipated film ‘Barbie’ promises to be a fun ride for audiences and film executives alike. According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter,’ the Warner Brothers expect the film to have an opening of at least $60 Million at the opening weekend. The film opens on July 21, 2023.
