Zack Snyder’s ‘Rebel Moon-Part One: A Child of Fire‘ was one of the most anticipated films of the year, unfortunately, the film did not live up to the hype. Starring Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Anthony Hopkins, Ray Fisher, and Djimon Hounsou, the film was criticized for its pacing issues and received a brutal response from the fans.

Djimon Hounsou Praises Zack Snyder’s Filmmaking Style
Known to be a part of multiple blockbuster projects ranging from Marvel, DC, ‘Fast and Furious’ to ‘Kingsman’, Djimon Hounsou was quite pleased working with Zack Snyder. Despite the terrible reviews of ‘Rebel Moon‘, the actor expressed his pleasure working with the director, calling him a bible.
Hounsou spoke highly of Snyder and praised him for bringing cultural truth to the character as well. Unlike the critics, the ‘Blood Diamond’ actor is in awe of Snyder’s vision. Hounsou said, “Well, what points did he give me and what points did he not give me… it was everything. He’s literally the bible that we all tapped into to comprehend our backstories and the arcs of our characters. And so in particular, my character, the fact that he also brought a certain level of a cultural affinity to General Titus, and you will see that in Part Two where I sing a tribal song.”

Will Djimon Hounsou’s Character Make An Appearance In Part Two Of ‘Rebel Moon’?
Djimon Hounsou is introduced as General Titus, the former general of the Imperium who goes to seek redemption by fighting against the Motherworld. Although the fans did not get to see much of General Titus in the first part, Hounsou promised that the second part of ‘Rebel Moon‘ would explore his character in detail.
Although the fans were disappointed with Zack Synder’s ‘Rebel Moon’, they are still holding on to their hope for the second part. The critics didn’t like the movie as a whole and deemed it dull and forgettable and the film holds a 23% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
