The film will also star Dua Lipa, and it will be led by Bryce Dallas Howard and Sam Rockwell. As a promotional move, the film has released the book ‘Argylle,’ which Howard wrote as Elly Conway in the film. However, it is rumored that the book was penned by pop sensation Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift Is Not The Writer Of Newly Published ‘Argylle’ Novel
On January 9, 2023, ‘Argylle’, a novel, was released under the name of Elly Conway. Elly is the character played by Bryce Dallas Howard in the upcoming Henry Cavill-starrer of the same moniker.
The story of the novel is about how the spy enthusiast novelist gets in trouble after the story that she writes plays out in real-time with a real organization, filling her life with thrills, adventures, and many obstacles.
Swifties were quick to draw many parallels between the author and Taylor Swift. In the film, Elly’s character carries a Scottish Fold in a bag, which is similar to that of Taylor carrying one of her two Scottish Folds, Olivia Benson, in ‘Miss Americana’.
The author in the film is red-headed, another similarity in Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well’ short film. The singer has also been spotted wearing argyle sweaters and even sold them as merchandise during Taylor’s Version of ‘Red’.
However, the director, Matthew Vaughn, has shut down the rumors that the new ‘Argylle’ novel is written by Taylor Swift. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Matthew said, “I’m not a big internet guy, and it was actually my daughter who came up to me — this is the power of celebrity and the internet — and said, ‘You never told me Taylor wrote the book!’”
Matthew continued, “And I’m looking at her going, ‘What are you talking about Taylor Swift wrote the book? She didn’t write the book!’ And I was laughing because I was like, ‘It’s not true! She didn’t write the book!’ But my daughter was convinced of it.”

Dua Lipa Will Be Seen In The Upcoming Spy Thriller

While one pop star, Taylor Swift, is not associated with ‘Argylle’, another pop phenomenon, Dua Lipa, will be seen kicking asses and performing some cool stunts with Henry Cavill in the film.
The singer was recently seen as the Mermaid Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’. She will be reuniting with her ‘Barbie’ co-star John Cena for ‘Argylle’. During an interview with Vanity Fair, Dua Lipa talked about working with John Cena. She said, “It seems like I can’t seem to do anything without him! He’s really my emotional support actor.”
In another interview with Variety, Dua Lipa talked about working in ‘Argylle’. She said, “I had the most fun. Honestly, being on a motorcycle and doing all the stunts, it was just so much fun. And working with Henry is amazing. Matthew is just such a great director.”
