Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has taken the studio to new heights ever since he took over several years ago. The entire Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is said to be pushed by him. Now, the popular studio head has spilled some beans on ‘Deadpool 3.’
Recently, Feige confirmed that the third installment in the popular franchise is going to be Marvel’s “first R-rated film.” The film, which is under pre-production, is slated for a 2024 release. So let’s take a closer look at Feige’s statement and some details about the film.

Kevin Feige Announces ‘Deadpool 3’ As Marvel’s First R-Rated Flick
Marvel studios, led by Kevin Feige, is known for its family-friendly content despite its fair share of mild blood and violence. However, things are going to change drastically for the studio.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 49-year-old studio boss talked about ‘Deadpool 3.’ “It’s amazing. And we’ve got Hugh Jackman coming back for our first Deadpool film within the MCU“, he said.
He continued, “that’s our first R-rated film. To have Hugh come back is incredible. For me, personally, that is where I started.” Feige also remembered the time when Jackman auditioned for ‘X-Men‘, where he served as the producer’s assistant. It was Jackman’s first audition in Hollywood.

Hugh Jackman Will Return In ‘Deadpool 3’
In 2017, Jackman retired from the role of Wolverine after doing ‘Logan.’ However, in September last year, Ryan Reynolds, who leads the ‘Deadpool‘ franchise shared a piece of news that made every fan happy.
He shared a video on Twitter to announce ‘Deadpool 3‘ and the return of Jackman’s Wolverine in it. In it, Ryan asks Jackman if he wants to return for that role. “Sure, Ryan,” the Aussie actor responds.
‘Deadpool 3‘ is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 6, 2024. Reynolds first portrayed the fast-talking superhero in the 2009 film ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’, starring Jackman. Ryan has been preparing for the role and the filming is set to commence sometime later this year.
