It has been three years since MCU’sShang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings‘ hit the theatres. Simu Liu, who found fame acting in the sitcom ‘Kim’s Convenience‘, shot to fame playing the titular role in ‘Shang-Chi’

Liu marked the three year anniversary of his movie by taking to his social media handle on X, to share his own satirical and humorous take on the film. Here’s what he said.

Simu Liu took to X to post a hilarious rating for his own film as it completed its 3-year anniversary. Rather than giving a straightforward rating out of ten, Liu decided to have a little fun with it by getting cheeky about it.

He gave the movie an 8.5 out of 10, but added with it “lead actor is a little too full of himself”. Obviously Liu was joking and poking fun of his own on-screen performance as the martial arts hero.

Fans of the movie were quick to praise Liu and found the post hilarious. Many laughed at the self-deprecation made at his own expense. Others commented adding that the rating given for the movie was also very fair, which resonates with the fact that ‘Shang-Chi‘ was one of the strongest MCU entries in phase 4.

Critics praised the movie upon its release and it even garnered an impressive 91% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on over 400 reviews. Its audience score on the site is even higher with a staggering 98% from over 150,000 user ratings.
