It was released on the same day and received a positive reaction from critics and audiences. Apart from that, it also scored 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

‘Sound of Freedom’ is now trending in the headlines after it took the top spot in sales on July 4 and has surpassed the records held by ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ so far. The film already took the first spot on the first day at the box office by collecting around $14 million.
The film reportedly recovered its budget on the first day itself. The film was produced by Angel Studios and the company’s CEO Neal Harmon also shared a statement, where they thanked everyone for their support in making it number one on Independence Day. Harmon said that they received reports stating that the film was sold out in most of the places.
They added: “With an A+ CinemaScore rating, we’re the top-rated movie in America, and we’re going to see word-of-mouth spread even further going into the weekend. The world needs to see Sound of Freedom, and we know that our biggest competitive advantage – our incredible fans and investors – are going to make sure that happens.”

‘Sound of Freedom’ first premiered at the Coronado Island Film Festival in 2022. It was released worldwide on July 4, 2023, and it has been produced on a budget of $14.5 million.
Directed by Alejandro Monteverde, the film features Jim Caviezel, Mira Sorvino, and Bill Camp in the lead roles. The plot is based on a real-life individual named Tim Ballard who goes on a mission to save children from Colombia-based sex traffickers.
