In the first trailer for ‘The Creator,’ a half-human and half-android asks Joshua about heaven. It then cuts to the beginning of the world’s end due to an AI gone haywire. The remaining few set off to find and destroy the harbinger of death and destruction. But when Joshua comes across this child-like creation, he begins to reconsider his understanding of humanity.
The official premise of ‘The Creator’ reads, “Amid a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua, a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife, is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war—and mankind itself.”
