Our favorite fashion trio of Miranda Priestley, Andy Sachs, and Emily Charlton are making a comeback in the ‘Devil Wears Prada’ sequel and the plot sounds absolutely promising. Fans have long awaited for the sequel of the 2006 classic hit and as Disney confirms the news, it’s finally happening.

What Would The Plot For ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Sequel Be?
As Variety reports, the new film will center on Miranda’s life and a possibly declining career. The report reads it will focus on Meryl Streep’s character as she “navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and faces off against Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.”
Talks are on for Aline Brosh McKenna, the original scriptwriter of ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘, to contribute to the upcoming movie. Wendy Finerman, the producer, will also be coming back. Entertainment Weekly has also reported that Anne Hathaway (as Andy Sachs), Meryl Streep (as Miranda Priestly), Emily Blunt (as Emily Charlton), and even Stanley Tucci (as Nigel Kipling) are all in talks to return to their respective parts for the sequel. David Frankel, the director, is also apparently coming back.

What Makes ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Popular?
Starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘ is a 2006 film adaptation of Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel. Hathaway is the protagonist, Andy Sachs, a fresh college graduate who is hired to work as Miranda Priestly’s assistant. Miranda Priestly is the strict editor-in-chief of a prominent fashion magazine and is said to be inspired by Anna Wintour’s personality. Although Andy doesn’t have any sense of style and doesn’t care for the industry at first, she learns the ropes of the fashion industry and puts up with Miranda’s constant demands.
Streep’s portrayal in ‘The Devil Wears Prada‘ garnered praise from critics and led to her being nominated for an Academy Award. Apart from that, the film also has a cult following and has become one of the most iconic fashion-centered films in recent times.
