The much-awaited trailer of Julia Roberts and George Clooney’s ‘Ticket to Paradise’ has been released and it is everything fans hoped for. The renowned actors will be seen on the big screen together after a gap of six years. They last starred together in ‘Money Monster’. But, what has fans excited is their return to romantic comedies with the upcoming film.
Roberts was the queen of rom-com once, with hits like ‘Pretty Woman’, ‘Notting Hill’, and ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’. George Clooney, on the other hand, created laugh riots in many comedy movies. Now, they are all set to entertain fans as warring exes in ‘Ticket to Paradise’.

Julia Roberts and George Clooney Reunite As Warring Exes In ‘Ticket to Paradise’
The film’s trailer shows how two exes – Julia Roberts and George Clooney – cross paths due to their daughter’s wedding in Bali. The only thing they agree on is that she is too young and is probably making a mistake by following her heart. In the trailer, Clooney’s character regards marriage to Julia’s character as the “Worst 19 years of my life,” and the count includes the “recovery” period. They constantly bicker and are at each other’s throats.
The ex-couple decides to team up to spoil their daughter’s impending wedding. On the island, while scheming and carrying out the plans together, the two seem to rekindle their romance. Will they be successful? Well, the movie will tell. ‘Ticket to Paradise’ opens in theatres on October 21.
Julia Roberts On Her Return To Rom-Com After 20 Years
Julia Roberts chose to stay away from another rom-com for 20 years. So, what made the actress say yes to ‘Ticket to Paradise’? She opened up to The New York Times about it and said, “People sometimes misconstrue the amount of time that’s gone by that I haven’t done a romantic comedy as my not wanting to do one. If I had read something that I thought was that ‘Notting Hill’ level of writing or ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ level of madcap fun, I would do it. They didn’t exist until this movie that I just did that Ol Parker wrote and directed.”
George Clooney played a part in Julia’s enthusiasm for ‘Ticket to Paradise’. “But even with that, I thought, Well, disaster, because this only works if it’s George Clooney. Lo and behold, George felt it only worked with me. Somehow we were both able to do it, and off we went,” she added.
