Christopher Nolan has dived into experimental genres, telling stories of time, war, and human behavior. While the director is widely known for his stellar stand-alone projects, he impressed the audience with the Christian Bale-starrer ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy.
Currently, Christopher Nolan is busy promoting his upcoming nuclear drama ‘Oppenheimer.’ It is the story of the first nuclear detonation, which changed the course of World War II. Robert J. Oppenheimer was helming the Manhattan Project and will be played by Cillian Murphy. During a promotional interview, the interviewer asked if Nolan was interested in directing a superhero film. The ‘Interstellar’ director gave a curt no as an answer.
Christopher Nolan Passes The Question About Helming ‘Star Wars’ Project
Recently, Christopher Nolan sat down with YouTuber HugoDécrypte, and he asked the director several questions. One of the questions he asked was if he would make “another superhero film.” Christopher Nolan had a blunt “No” as an answer to it.
The ‘Tenet’ director was not keen on answering any rapid-fire questions. When the YouTuber asked him if he would make a TV show, Nolan had “No” as an answer to that as well. But he dodged the ‘Star Wars’ question, saying, “Pass.”
Christopher Nolan’s DC comeback will lead him to face Warner Bros., with whom he had a fallout during the release of ‘Tenet.’

The Director Casts His Daughter In The Upcoming Film
‘Oppenheimer’ has an illustrious cast, including Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, and Matt Damon. But there is one more addition to the team: Nolan’s daughter, Flora Nolan. Flora is playing the girl whose face gets bruised during the nuclear explosion.
During an interview with the Telegraph, Christopher Nolan explained the casting. He said, “We needed someone to do that small part of a somewhat experimental and spontaneous sequence. So it was wonderful to just have her sort of roll with it.”
Nolan wanted to convey a greater message with the casting. He added, “But the point is that if you create the ultimate destructive power, it will also destroy those who are near and dear to you. I suppose this was my way of expressing that in what, to me, were the strongest possible terms.”
